Will your company be represented at the AEM Annual Statistics Conference?

Slated for May 22-24 at the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the conference provides an opportunity for AEM members to gain valuable information about and weigh in on important issues related to AEM statistics. In addition to offering updates on the association and industry-related activities, the AEM  Annual Statistics Conference features equipment committee meetings and elections, education opportunities, voting on proposals and much more. Register now.

“It’s critically important for member companies participating in AEM’s Statistics Program to have a representative attend the Annual Statistics Conference and participate in the committee meetings that cover the equipment they report on each month,” said AEM Director of Statistics Rex Sprietsma. “Having a presence at the conference and its committee meetings gives these participating member companies a voice at the table to express their opinions and cast their vote on many important issues.”

Each member company in attendance – regardless of size – is allowed one vote.

The following committee meetings are scheduled to be held at this year’s conference:

  • Agriculture Equipment Statistics Committee (AESC) Meeting
  • Commercial Worksite Equipment/Forestry, Earthmoving & Excavators (CWE/FEE) Joint Committee Meeting
  • Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) Statistics Committee Meeting
  • Ag Tire Statistics Committee (ATC) Meeting
  • Crane Statistics Committee (CSC) Meeting
  • Aggregates Statistics Committee (ASC) Meeting
  • Road Machinery Statistics Committee (RMSC) Meeting
  • Statistics Executive Committee (SEC) Meeting

The General Session will be held mid-morning on the second day of the conference, and it is intended to provide information and content of interest to any representative of a member company participating in the AEM Statistics Program.

AEM's Al Cervero is slated to be one of the speakers at this year's General Session, and he will discuss technology trends the association expects to affect the industry both today and in the future. Cervero will also provide highlights of the 2017 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Tech Experience and information regarding AEM Thinking Forward events being held this year. AEM's Larry Buzecky will also be in attendance to provide an update on key developments related to business intelligence affecting the statistics community, including AEM's acquisition of Hargrove & Associates, Inc. (HAI), GDPR, and AEM Board Meetings.

In addition to the OMA awards and update from the individual committee chairs, HAI will update attendees of the General Session on iSTAT system enhancements, both new ones and those which are expected in the near future.

Due to the difficulty of providing adequate audio and interactive capability, there will be no option to call into any of the committee meetings at the conference. Member representatives are encouraged to attend these meeting in person. There is no registration fee and lunches, as well as a reception buffet (the night before the General Session), will be provided for AEM members who attend.
