DauergaardThe I Make America tour made a stop in Beresford, South Dakota last week to celebrate Manufacturing Day with AEM member Sioux Corporation.

South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard was in attendance at the event, one which afforded him a unique opportunity join Sioux Corporation President/CEO Brad Hyronimus, CFO Meg Andersen and Vice President of Operations Eric Hansen on a guided tour of the company’s facility and join Sioux Corporation workers in recognizing Manufacturing Day. In addition, he also met with local 8th-grade students from Irene-Wakonda Junior High School and participated in a Q&A with company employees.

“Companies like Sioux Corporation have a bigger impact on the global economy than people probably realize,” said Daugaard. “Manufacturing is quite literally an industry that builds, supports and impacts almost every other industry, and this week, companies across South Dakota are taking time to recognize, thank, and share with their neighbors all of the innovative products made right here in South Dakota.”

AEM Vice President Kip Eideberg delivered remarks at the event and encouraged Sioux Corporation employees to sign up with I Make America.

Last week’s Manufacturing Day gathering marked the second I Make America event at Sioux Corporation, which has been designing been designing and manufacturing industrial-quality pressure washers, steam cleaners, water heating and chilling systems, as well as steam generators for more than 75 years.
