Construction Challenge
AEM has partnered with Destination ImagiNation Inc. to develop and implement the Construction Challenge to help influence the future workforce. The Construction Challenge is part of AEM’s ongoing efforts to attract the best and brightest young people to the construction industry specifically in manufacturing and in-the-field careers.
The goals of this challenge are for the participants to:
- Understand the relationships between construction, infrastructure, and quality of life.
- Implement a solution to a simulated infrastructure problem using knowledge of construction equipment.
- Develop awareness of construction equipment and related jobs.
The Construction Challenge started with five Regional Rallies, which took place on Saturday, January 12, 2008, in: Atlanta, Georgia; Glassboro, New Jersey; Dayton, Ohio; Greenville, Texas; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
