Al Cervero

Albert A. Cervero is Vice President, Construction, Mining & Utility of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

Cervero’s responsibilities include directing AEM’s construction specific member work groups and acting as chief staff liaison to the AEM Board of Directors and AEM CE Sector Board for construction related issues. He also leads AEM initiatives related to the utility construction sector. He serves as primary liaison with construction specific industry organizations, customer groups and government agencies. Cervero in addition oversees AEM's Membership department.

Cervero is a member of the Boards of the Wisconsin World Trade Center and the International Road Federation Education Foundation. He is a past member of the Boards of the AED Foundation (of the Associated Equipment Distributors) and American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). He joined AEM in 1995 as Director of Marketing and Membership Services and was appointed Vice President in 1996.

Before joining AEM, Cervero had more than 20 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, focusing on the lifting and aggregates sides of the business.  Starting his working career with Harnischfeger in 1975, Cervero worked his way up to several management level positions in sales, marketing and product management. In 1988 he helped lead a management buyout of Harnischfeger’s P&H construction division.While a part owner he served as Marketing Director at Century II and then PPM Cranes upon the successful sale to LeGris Industries. He was Director of Marketing for two years at Telsmith Inc. before joining AEM.
