Since joining Skyjack in 2003, Mr. Boehler has progressively held strategic positions, including the previous titles of Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining the company, Brad obtained his B.Eng. Sc. from the University of Western Ontario, and holds the designation of Professional Engineer. He began his career as a Military Engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces.
In 2006, Mr. Boehler was appointed chair of the ANSI A92.6 subcommittee, which is responsible for the U.S. standards on self-propelled elevating work platforms; he remains involved with other global standards development organizations, and is a former chair of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Manufacturers’ Technical Committee.
In 2013 Mr. Boehler was elected to the board of directors of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). IPAF promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment globally – through providing technical advice and information, influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, through safety initiatives and training programmes. It is a not for profit organization. Mr. Boehler is currently the Vice President of IPAF.
In 2015 Mr. Boehler was nominated to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Membership Committee. Since then he has joined the Finance Committee, and become the chair of the AEM Canada Working Group. In 2017 he was elected to AEM's CE Sector Board.
Mr. Boehler recently completed the Executive Development Program at the Ivey School of Business in London as part of his preparations for assuming his current title as President of Skyjack.
