AEM GrantThis past week, The Department of Commerce announced that AEM received the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) grant award.

The MDCP establishes a partnership between the International Trade Administration (ITA) and participating trade associations with a long-term goal of removing technical barriers to international trade. Award winners receive financial and technical assistance from the ITA to support projects that enhance the global competitiveness of U.S. industries.

AEM coordinated with staff from the Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) to build the foundations of a new China monitoring and engagement program. The program seeks to address industry needs by building a sustainable and robust standards and regulatory monitoring program in China. The program will ensure consistent updates on Chinese standards and regulations affecting global AEM member companies with the goal of maintaining market access and staying abreast of business and policy developments in East Asia.

AEM looks forward to working closely with staff from the ITA, EMA and ASABE to provide continued value to their members.
