bauma 2019About a dozen AEM staff members were in attendance at the record-breaking bauma 2019, held earlier this month in Munich, Germany.

AEM representatives engaged in a number of activities on behalf of members, and they met with association partners at Messe Munchen and the Indian Construction Equipment Manufactures Association to extend AEM’s commitment for collaboration on bauma CONEXPO India.

AEM President Dennis Slater and John Garrison of Terex Corporation also met with US Consul General Munich Meghan Gregonis to talk about the financial challenges and competitive disadvantage created by steel tariffs.

With more than 620,000 visitors from more than 200 countries, bauma 2019 secured the best results in its history as a leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment. The 2019 edition also saw around 3,700 exhibitors from 63 countries and a significant increase in overseas visitors, as more than 250,000 people came from countries outside of Germany.

Exhibitors from across the globe unveiled a significant number of innovations and new products to bauma visitors in an effort to build momentum before CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020, North America’s largest construction trade show, which is slated for March 10-14, 2020 in Las Vegas.

The next bauma will be held from April 4-10, 2022 in Munich.
