AEM’s Technical and Safety Department is pleased to announce the addition of three new staff members: Technical and Safety Manager Travis Webb, Director of Product Stewardship Jeff Jurgens and Director of Global Standards Jason Malcore.

The newly expanded department is tasked with providing valuable services to AEM members as they address ever-increasing global demands on the equipment manufacturing industry to develop machines that are safe, productive and compliant to local and regional requirements. AEM staff works with members to communicate those worldwide requirements and means of compliance to the benefit of all AEM members.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Travis, Jeff and Jason as the newest members of AEM’s Technical and Safety Department,” said AEM Senior Vice President of Ag Services Curt Blades, who assumed executive responsibility for the AEM Technical and Safety services department earlier this year. “Of utmost concern is for us, as an association, to be able to continue to service our members in the important work we do to help save lives and ensure market access.”

  •  Webb joins AEM after spending more than five years D&D Products Inc.- Aquarius Systems, and he boasts a wealth of valuable experience in product management, customer support, training and application engineering in an OEM setting.
  •  Jurgens comes to AEM from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, where he worked as an independent assurance/materials lead and a project development specialist. He possesses a strong technical background, strong writing skills and previous experience operating equipment.
  •  Malcore joins AEM after working as a product compliance, government and regulatory affairs specialist for the Bradley Corporation. In addition to having significant experience dealing with regulatory affairs and compliance, he possesses significant engineering, sustainability and public policy experience – all of which will contribute to AEM’s continued involvement in global standards and regulations.

“AEM’s Technical and Safety Department is committed to consistently providing the association’s members with quality service, expertise and support,” said Blades. “With the additions of Travis, Jeff and Jason, we will be well-suited to build momentum for our industry, expand on past efforts and accomplishments, as well as continue to provide AEM members with leading-edge services and programs.”

"Do it once, do it right, do it globally" is the department's motto. Its staff is tasked with working with more than 35 different product groups to address issues related to safety and compliance, as well as relevant topical issues that are important to both the association’s members and the equipment manufacturing industry as a whole. In addition, the department has developed a number of end user resources for AEM members to distribute to their customers in an effort to advocate for the safe and proper use of equipment.

Coordinated and organized by AEM’s Technical and Safety Department, AEM’s upcoming Product Safety & Compliance Seminar and Product Liability Seminar offers a wealth of leading-edge information and insights from industry experts and companies with effective product safety and compliance programs. Held annually, these seminars offer AEM member company representatives unprecedented access to the latest in standards, regulations and industry best practices, as well as valuable networking opportunities with AEM staff and industry leaders.
