Alex RussAEM Director of International and Regulatory Affairs Alex Russ was elected to the Canadian American Business Council (CABC) last week during its quarterly meeting held in Washington, D.C.

According to a press release issued this week by the CABC, Russ “has been a valuable source of insight into his industry amid the uncertainty of recently-concluded NAFTA meetings” and will take his place on the board at its next meeting, slated to be held in the first quarter of 2019.

“Equipment manufacturers depend on maintaining a strong U.S.-Canada economic relationship, and I look forward to being an effective voice for our industry,” said Russ.

The CABC was founded in 1987 amid a fierce debate on free trade between Canada and the United States, and it has been a staunch advocate for free trade and deepening the strong historical ties between the two countries.
