Kip EidebergAEM's Kip Eideberg recently penned an op-ed for The Hill placing blame for stalled immigration reform on both parties in Congress. According to Eideberg's op-ed, with 85,000 job openings in the equipment manufacturing industry, there are regions of the United States that don't possess enough Americans to fill required positions.

Eideberg shared his thoughts on the current state of U.S. immigration and its impact on demand for skilled tradespeople on a recent episode of The Construction Record Podcast, from Daily Commercial News.

Listen to the full episode to hear Eideberg make a case for immigration revitalizing rural areas and explain how demographic shifts such as an aging population will only exacerbate the problem unless a bipartisan consensus is reached soon.
