Similar to speed dating, twice-yearly Plugfest events let ag electronics manufacturers pair off with each other to see if their products are compatible.

Members should “save the date” for the spring 2015 edition of Plugfest, set for May 11-15 at Embassy Suites in Lincoln, Nebraska. Registration will open in early March.

Plugfests are hosted by the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF). AEM provides the staff secretary for AEF.

Along with testing equipment, attendees will get a progress report from AEF Chairman Peter van der Vlugt, who will speak to the group after dinner on May 13.

Striving for Tractor-Implement Compatibility

Plugfests take place every spring and fall, alternately in the U.S. and Europe. They allow members to test their products with those from other manufacturers. The goal is tractor-implement compatibility (no matter what the brand) and improved customer satisfaction.
