This past week, AGCO Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Americas Bob Crain published a commentary in the Morning Consult, a highly-read political news site, about the 2018 Farm Bill. In the commentary, Crain calls on members of Congress to put American farmers and manufacturing workers before politics.

“Voters need to let their elected officials know: The time for action is now. They need to hear from all of us about the need to pass the 2018 Farm Bill and protect federal programs that support our agriculture economy,” writes Crain in the June 8 commentary.

Earlier this year, the U.S. House of Representatives was set to advance the Farm Bill before a cadre of Republicans stalled progress due to concerns over immigration. While new progress looks promising in the U.S. Senate later this month, there’s still more to do.
