1. Fleet Management 101 – Understanding Your Customer

  • As a manufacturer, your bottom-line is clear. Service call goals and equipment and parts sales are what drive you each day. But what is driving your customer? In this session you will hear directly from a fleet manager on why and how they make purchasing decisions.

2. Cost of Doing Business Overview

  • Understanding your dealer is critical for profitable aftermarket support. Knowing the metrics dealers use to evaluate their success in the industry is vital. Dealers use the AED Cost of Doing Business/Profit Opportunity Report as a tool to evaluate their operating results.

3. Social Media in Off-Road Equipment (Joint Session)

  • Social media is great for brand awareness and building customer relationships, but determining ROI can get a little foggy. Learn which organizations are using digital media to their advantage, where some have missed the boat, and where the industry stands in comparison to others.

4. The Importance of Aftermarket Support

  • Customer loyalty and revenue from aftermarket service and sales are critical to manufacturers. Organizations need to understand the value of their customer support teams. Mike Haberman, CE Chair and president at Gradall Industries, will present his views on customer support, loyalty, aftermarket profitability, and growth.

In addition, Nick Yaksich, AEM vice president, government and industry relations, will discuss the initiatives and legislation that impact manufacturers, including action on the highway bill, tax issues and a state-by-state overview of dealer warranty laws. He will also provide an update on the EU’s proposed Stage V engine emission regulations.

Benjamin Duyck, AEM director of market intelligence, will provide an update to the latest market trends in construction and agricultural equipment.
