The California Air Resources Board (CARB) announced a virtual public workshop for Dec. 7 to discuss future changes to their Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Program.
The LCFS program is designed to discourage the use of carbon intensive fuels through a mixture of credits, public investments, fuel standards and regulatory requirements to meet California’s greenhouse gas emission goals.
CARB staff plans on presenting initial concepts and future amendments to the current LCFS regulations followed by a verbal comment period from public stakeholders. Interested individual organizations may participate in the meeting by going to the provided link or offer written comments on CARB’s proposals prior to Jan. 7, 2022.
