Don't Overlook the Second-Chance Talent Pool When Addressing Workforce Needs

Second-Chance TalentAmong the largest – and most underutilized – pools of workforce talent available today is formerly incarcerated. Yet, for a variety of reasons, employers often fail to consider second-chance citizens as viable options to fill open positions.

In one of her recent 2-Minute Workforce Tactic Videos, AEM Senior Director of Workforce and Industry Initiatives Julie Davis makes the case for manufacturers diversifying their workforce by providing opportunities for the formerly incarcerated in order to help the labor challenges facing the industry today.
