AEM’s grassroots campaign I Make America will conclude its I Make America Town Hall Tour a week from today, on Thursday, September 20, at 11:00 am CT, with the next event streaming live from Terex AWP’s Genie showroom in Redmond, Washington. This final town hall will focus on trade and trade policies impacting the equipment manufacturing industry. Trade and the use of tariffs have become an important issue this year as the Trump Administration has chosen to put into place billions of dollars’ worth of tariffs on aluminum and steel, as well as tariffs on imported goods from China.

Once again the town hall will be moderated by Steve Patterson, Host of Twin Cities Live, and the expert panel will feature John Garrison, chairman of the board and president and CEO of Terex Corporation, Fred Hochberg, former chairman/president, Export-Import Bank, and Anja Manuel, author and principal, RiceHadleyGates, LLC. The event will be livestreamed at and on I Make America’s Facebook page here:

The I Make America Town Hall Tour has actively engaged many of the 1.3 million men and women of the equipment manufacturing industry in a discussion about key policy issues. So far hundreds of men and women workers in the industry have attended in person and thousands more have watched online. The second town hall took place on Thursday, Aug. 16 at Doosan Bobcat’s Innovation Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.

For a preview of what to expect, watch a recap of the first IMA Town Hall, which took place May 17 at AGCO’s Jackson, Minnesota assembly plant...
