End User ResourcesWinter is gone, spring is finally sprung, and construction and ag equipment is back to work.

Regardless of industry, jobs are plentiful and machinery is moving. However, new and inexperienced employees may not yet be fully aware of the hazards of their profession – whether they are hazards to themselves, bystanders, or even to the equipment itself. To help protect workers and the equipment they use every day, AEM has developed a number of end user resources for members to distribute to their customers.

For example, at the recent AEM Product Safety and Compliance Seminar, attendees heard about the hazard of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel igniting due to static discharge. Its danger only serves to reaffirm the title one of AEM’s bulletins on the subject: “ULSD…Not Your Same Old Diesel Fuel Anymore!”

It’s a hazard that affects all mobile equipment, especially as machines are refueled in remote locations. As a result, a series of publications were developed to inform and assist end users in methods required to safely re-fuel machines. Available in 21 languages and multiple formats, these documents are available for download now.

AEM offers a number of other resources that cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel
  • Distracted Driving
  • Seat Belt Safety
  • Underground Utility Awareness
  • Equipment Safety
  • Fuel Quality

The resources are available for download at https://www.aem.org/safety-and-technical/safety/end-user-resources/.
