Two of the innovators behind the world’s first fully functional 3D printed excavator will field questions this Thursday at approximately 10 a.m. EST on the social news site Reddit.
Participating in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) session will be:
- Lonnie Love, PhD, project lead for the Big Area Additive Manufacturing program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory that is focusing on large-scale, high-speed polymer and metal additive manufacturing
- Andy Peterman, cab design team representative and a member of the student engineering team that won a national excavator cab design contest
The 3D printed excavator, known as Project AME (Additive Manufactured Excavator), will be on display in the Tech Experience at CONEXPO-CON/AGG & IFPE 2017 next March in Las Vegas.
Reddit is one of the most useful, popular and informative social news sites on the web. “Ask Me Anything” is a popular format for hosting Q&A sessions on Reddit. These sessions can be found in the general interest /r/IAmA/ subreddit, as well as many interested-based subreddits.
The conversation will happen on Reddit’s technology subreddit using the AEM_Tech handle.
