U.S. International Trade Commission opens MTB processThe U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) will launch its Miscellaneous Tariff Bill (MTB) submission portal tomorrow, October 14th. 

The portal allows companies to submit a petition to suspend and reduce tariffs on items not produced domestically that are imported into the U.S. Companies will have only 60 days, until December 13, 2016 to submit their petitions to the USITC.

Companies can request a duty suspension up to $500,000 a year per tariff line, or request a duty reduction if over this amount. After December 13th, the next available submission period will not be until 2019.
