AEM joined some 55 other manufacturing groups for the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition Day on Capitol Hill this past week.

The event underscored the importance of NAFTA and the need to lessen regulatory burden for the equipment manufacturing industry, and it offered attendees from AEM an opportunity to discuss the industry's economic impact on the Canadian economy and meet privately with five Members of Parliament, including one Cabinet Minister. The CMC Lobby Day culminated with Canada's Minister of International Trade, Hon. Francois-Philippe Champagne, delivering the keynote address at the Canadian Manufacturing Summit.

As an active member of the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition, AEM is able to amplify its voice on the importance of public policies that support all of our industry conducting business in Canada. AEM will continue to educate elected officials on the benefits of trade and regulatory reform to help grow the Canadian economy.
