Erica Baird is a global sales and business leader with deep experience across the automotive, construction equipment, rental and mining industries. She has built her career helping some of the world’s most complex and highly regulated companies deliver profitable and sustainable growth, strengthen governance, and protect their businesses through transformation and disciplined execution.

As Executive Director of Global Sales and Service at Cummins, Erica leads a team of more than 1,200 employees worldwide, driving excellence in Sales and Service, Customer Experience, Strategic Data Center Installation, Commissioning and Aftermarket Support, Parts Support, Field Service Engineering, Design Engineering, and Compliance. She partners closely with leaders across the company to accelerate growth, transformation, and long-term value creation while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Known for her results-driven leadership, Erica has restructured global organizations to deliver significant cost savings while achieving industry-leading customer satisfaction. At Caterpillar, she led initiatives that quadrupled sales and built industry award-winning business risk and governance frameworks for the company and its board of directors.

A commercially strategic and execution-focused leader, Erica brings a rare blend of operational rigor, commercially strategic insight, and governance expertise—consistently driving growth and resilience even amid disruption.

In her personal time, Erica is an open mic poet and was a foster mom to 14 teens and her 3 biological children. Her passion for helping children of severe abuse earned her a seat on the state foster care advisory board as an advisor to the governor.
