Jay Allen is the CEO and President of Allen Engineering Corporation (AEC), a family
owned and operated company based in Paragould, Arkansas. AEC designs, engineers,
manufactures, and markets a complete line of concrete placing, finishing, polishing and
paving equipment worldwide. Jay is responsible for the strategic vision and direction of
AEC, and he reports to the company’s Board of Directors.
Prior to being named CEO, Jay held the roles of President, Executive Vice-President, and
Vice President with a focus on sales and marketing management at AEC starting in 1994.
He also had a brief career in residential real estate sales and development from ’03 to
’06. Jay started his career out of college in banking and served as a Vice President of
commercial lending in the Ft. Worth Texas market.
Jay graduated from Texas A & M University (Mays Business School) with a Master of Science in
International Marketing in 1993. He also received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance / Real Estate from Baylor University (Hankamer School of Business) in 1985.
Jay is a member of Vistage Worldwide (Memphis, TN CEO Group), the American
Concrete Institute International, the American Society of Concrete Contractors, the
American Concrete Paving Association, the American Rental Association, and the
Association of Equipment Manufacturers (where he serves on the G-PAC and CE Sector
Boards).
Jay’s community involvement includes being on NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital Board in
Jonesboro, Arkansas and the Red Wolf Foundation Board at Arkansas State University.
Jay is married to Lesle, and they have five children. He enjoys all outdoor activities
including golf, fishing, boating, hiking and exercise.
