Tim Bucher
CEO & Co-Founder / Agtonomy
Tim Bucher serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Agtonomy. He is a serial entrepreneur who has created several successful companies in high-tech and other industries over the last 3+ decades, taking one of them public and selling six others to tech giants like Microsoft, Apple, Dell, and Seagate. After acquisitions, he has always served in executive roles in those acquiring companies as an “intrapreneur” creating new innovations such as the original Xbox gaming platform and the original iPad which grew new markets and expanded revenue streams for those companies. Bucher has served in executive roles directly for Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Michael Dell learning many skills from some of the best entrepreneurs in history.
Throughout his career, Bucher has also stayed dedicated to his passion for ag which compelled him to start his own farming operation, Trattore Farms, at a very young age. Trattore Farms is located in Northern California and employs some of the most sophisticated AgTech technology which Bucher has personally developed over the decades. With over 50 issued patents, his expertise lies in AgTech, consumer products, EV vehicles, digital audio and video, AR/VR, gaming, cloud services, and IoT ecosystems with special focus on product strategy, user experience, design, and engineering. Bucher earned his Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California at Davis and also received his Masters degree in Computer Architecture from Stanford University. He has served as a Trustee of UC Davis Foundation and currently serves as Chair Emeriti of the GRAMMY Museum plus many other philanthropic and volunteer endeavors.
