The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is hiring a Human Resources & Administrative Intern. We are offering this opportunity to a highly motivated team player interested in providing exceptional support in assisting our Human Resources and Administrative Assistant teams.
The Human Resources & Administrative Intern will focus on aspects critical to AEM’s business functions that will lead to improved internal efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and demonstrates the ability to anticipate needs and take ownership of projects
  • Flexible and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working towards a career in Human Resources
Responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department on compliant and accurate filing, employee recruitment, onboarding and termination checklists, internal and external event planning, improving existing internal policies, and other HR related tasks.
  • Support the Human Resources team in benefits management and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in research for relevant Human Resources topics.
  • Set up new hire desks.
  • Prepare, proof, and format presentations and spreadsheets on Human Resources research topics such as tuition reimbursement, EAP programs, ADA policies and procedures, and internal sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage meeting coordination, including tasks such as scheduling, attendance tracking, food & beverage orders, and organizing meeting materials.
  • Assist the Administrative team with scheduling office events, SMART excel data entry and updating, manage daily incoming/departing mail, checking in clientele, PowerPoint presentations, daily office organization and restocking, as well as creating procedures for reoccurring office duties.
