Public Relations Intern

Join our award-winning communications/PR team at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. A successful candidate will be a passionate communicator and curious problem solver who is interested in journalism, industry-relevant news, & PR messaging. This person must be organized, adaptable, and possess strong writing skills. Under the direction of the PR Director, responsibilities will include:

• Media monitoring & research
  • Using CISION, monitor ongoing media initiatives to research and develop media lists for various initiatives. We will train you on this platform.
• Content creation
  • Create various types of content including press releases, media advisories, talking points and media research documents.
• Event support
  • Help plan and execute press events or promotional activities including coordinating creation of event materials and providing on-site support.
• Research industry trends, best practices and analyze campaign results.

In addition to receiving firsthand experience working within Public Relations for a large international association, AEM provides additional training and development opportunities for interns. The program was nominated in 2023 to be a Top Internship Program, and provides activities such as:
