Wade Balkonis
Moderator: Wade Balkonis, Grassroots Advocacy ManagerWade Balkonis is the Grassroots Advocacy Manager and head of AEM’s grassroots campaign – I Make America – which mobilizes the 2.8 million men and women of the equipment manufacturing industry to advocate for policies that support manufacturing jobs and help America's equipment manufacturers compete globally. Prior to his current role, Wade has run grassroots and PAC programs for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies, worked in constituent relations roles for a Member of Congress and the Mayor of the city of Milwaukee, and Office of Federal Contract Compliance (OFCCP) for private industry.
Kate Fox Wood
Kate Fox Wood, Senior Director, Government RelationsKate is based in AEM’s Washington, DC office and oversees the association’s federal government relations efforts. She also oversees AEM’s political action committee, AEMPAC. Before joining AEM, she worked on and managed several political campaigns in Nevada and Texas for federal and state candidates. Prior to that, Kate spent three years working in the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant for U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre, overseeing his veterans' affairs, foreign affairs, and financial services legislative portfolio.
Megan Evans
Megan Evans, Government Relations ManagerMegan Evans serves as the Government Relations Manager for AEM working on federal issues relating to workforce development, trade, and infrastructure. Prior to joining AEM in 2019, Megan served as a legislative assistant for a major labor organization working on a broad range of issues including trade, infrastructure, pensions, chemical facilities, immigration, and family issues. She has also worked for the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Stephanie See
Stephanie See, Director, State Government RelationsStephanie See is the Director of State Government Relations and Washington Operations for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). In her role, she oversees AEM’s advocacy efforts in state capitols across the country, focusing on distribution laws, infrastructure investment, and Right to Repair proposals.
Malcolm Richards
Malcolm Richards, State Government Relations ManagerMalcolm Richards serves as the State Government Relations Manager at AEM, representing AEM at state capitals across the nation. Malcolm works to promote AEM’s policy priorities, including promotion infrastructure investment, expansion of rural broadband, and workforce development programs, on behalf of AEM’s member companies. Prior to joining AEM, Malcolm worked at the Republican State Leadership Committee, working to elect and support state legislative Republicans across the U.S.
