Allison NieskesAEM’s Allison Nieskes is now a SHRM-certified professional.

The Society of Human Resources (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR membership organization, and the SHRM-CP is recognized and valued by employers in all industries as the premier human resources certification. Not only does it acknowledge the credibility and proficiency of HR practitioners, it tests their ability to apply HR principles and abstract knowledge to real-world scenarios.

“I credit all the knowledge I have gained during my nine-plus years of working in the HR department here at AEM with helping me obtain my SHRM-CP,” said Nieskes, who works as AEM’s director of human resources. “I’m thankful for all the leaders and mentors – especially former AEM SVP Judy Gaus – who took me under their wing and taught me so much about human resources, leadership, business best practices, workplace interactions, and more.”

Nieskes arrived at AEM in 2014 as an administrative assistant before joining the HR team. In her current role, she oversees a variety of aspects of AEM’s human resources functional area, from recruitment, benefit planning, salary benchmarking and compensation, and policy creation. From 2015 to 2018, Nieskes attended Marquette University, where she earned a degree in organizational leadership.
