AEM leaders joined agricultural machinery manufacturers and industry peers at last week’s Agrievolution Summit to discuss the impact of sustainability, the growth of ag technology, and the future of food production.

AEM Senior Vice President Curt Blades and Senior Director of Agriculture Austin Gellings spoke on key issues of importance at the three-day gathering in Buenos Aires, which marked the first time in the Summit’s history that it was held in South America.

Supply chain disruptions and the ongoing digital transformation are driving the ag and equipment manufacturing industries to explore solutions to feed the world sustainably,” said Gellings. “Last week’s Agrievolution Summit served as a uniquely valuable opportunity to shed light on the resilience and adaptability of agribusiness.”

At the event, Blades moderated a panel on improving production and environmental conservation through precision agriculture Meanwhile Gellings presented on the same topic, discussing AEM’s recent release of an updated precision ag study

Attendees also heard success stories and insights, as well as participated in a live field demonstration to see these practices in action. Furthermore, the Summit agenda included discussion panels and networking spaces aiming to shed light on the adaptability of the industry and future solutions to current industry issues.

Session topics included:

  • Agriculture conservation
  • Smart-farming and ag tech
  • The role of mechanization in conservation and carbon sequestration
  • Farmer success stories
  • Challenges in achieving food security
  • The future of ag mechanization and precision ag
