Telescopic HandlerAs part of its ongoing efforts to provide AEM members with accurate, reliable and timely market share information in Latin America, the association’s Market Share Statistics Department is pleased to announce the launch of a new retail statistics program for Telescopic Handlers in the Latin America Regional Retail Program’s Expandable Region comprised of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Panama.

The launch marks the latest phase in expanded retail programs in Latin America, and participating companies include Caterpillar-JLG Alliance, Doosan Bobcat and Sany Brazil. Participating member companies will receive their respective monthly market share information based on their reported monthly state-level retails data for the countries mentioned above starting January 2022.

“AEM’s programs provide our members with timely, accurate and reliable information,” said AEM Senior Director of Latin America Statistics Arnold Huerta. “Thanks in large part to the programs we’ve launched, our members now have the best-available tools and reports to determine their market penetration and business profitability.”

The product definition for Telescopic Handlers (IF26) is as follows: “A rough-terrain variable-reach material handling machine, which utilizes a telescopic boom to place loads, perform light material handling with buckets, and may be coupled with a wide variety of work tools. It has a rigid frame with four-wheel steering. Used in agriculture and general construction applications.”

The main objective of the AEM Statistics Department in Latin America is to develop, expand and implement statistics programs to help member companies determine market share. Numerous programs have been launched as part of AEM’s Latin America Regional Retail CE Statistics Program since 2013. It consists of four separate regional programs:

  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • Expandable Region (Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Panama)
  • Other Latin America (OLA) countries
