AEM member companies Purple Wave Auction and Dynapac teamed up with Ariat Dirt World Summit to host a charity auction in November 2024 and raise funds for the Dream on 3 organization. Dream on 3 serves children with life-altering conditions by fulfilling their sports dreams.

Dynapac donated a 2024 Dynapac CA2500 soil roller to be auctioned. Purple Wave hosted the online auction Oct. 28 to Nov. 5. At 2 p.m. On Nov. 5, bids were placed on hold until the live auction event began that evening, called by Purple Wave Founder and CEO Aaron McKee.

"At Purple Wave, we want to be the easiest, most straightforward way to buy and sell equipment. We are a community, and we always say we are connecting the type of people you want to do business with," said McKee. "This opportunity to be a part of this, it absolutely embodies Purple Wave, and we're so proud and honored to be a part of the dirt world community, the construction equipment community, and the people taking care of their communities at home. It was amazing, and we’re so honored we got to be a part of it."

During the live auction, attendees watched as Aaron continued to drive and accept bids on the Dynapac roller. As the bidding began to slow, McKee and Dynapac President Jamie Roush convened on stage, and Roush agreed to donate a second roller.

That evening, the two highest bidders, Blue Sage Services from Beaver, Oklahoma, and Sargent Corporation from Orono, Maine, each received a custom-wrapped roller. The design featured a mural of a vibrant construction scene set within a sports stadium. In the background, a Dynapac soil roller compacts the earth, representing the construction industry's united support — building the foundation for the dreams of future Dream On 3 recipients.

“On this magical evening, we were able to raise $255,000 for Dream On 3,” said Roush. “But it is more than just giving, the Dream On 3 organization reminds us all that dreams have the power to inspire, unite, and transform lives. By creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for children with life-altering conditions, they show the world what hope and possibility truly look like.”

"I love the word 'family.' That's what this is, and we're so blessed to be a part of this family. Dream on 3 is a dream-granting organization. We make sports dreams come true for kids battling with life-altering conditions and the only way we are able to do that is through the support of people like this, right here, that help us make these dreams come true," said Brandon Lindsey, co-founder of Dream on 3.
