CESAEM member companies John Deere and Robert Bosch LLC were among several companies recently recognized as Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021 Innovation Award winners.

Each year, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) honors outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products. The Innovation Awards Program, which received more than 12,000 submissions for this year’s awards, recognizes two levels of honorees among 28 product categories.

  • Honoree: A product that scores above the threshold set for a specific category.
  • Best of Innovation: Given to only the highest-rated product in each category, or multiple in the event of a tie. Best of Innovation in each category is not guaranteed.

John Deere

John Deere earned 2021 Best of Innovation status in the Robotics category for the company’s X Series Combine. According to the company, these combines deliver an average of 45% more harvesting capacity across all crops, with no sacrifice in grain quality, while also using 20% less fuel. In addition, the X9 1100 model can harvest as much as 30 acres an hour in wheat and 7,200 bushels an hour in high-yielding corn.

Robert Bosch

While the company was not recognized for any product offering serving the agriculture or construction markets, Robert Bosch did earn 2021 Honoree status in the Health & Wellness category for its Bosch Hemoglobin Monitor.
