AEM's Curt Blades recently appeared on the American Farmland Owner podcast to discuss the short-term and long-term outlook for ag tractor sales. Every month, AEM releases its Ag Tractor and Combine Reports, which can be found on AEM's Market Share Statistics Page.

In August, total U.S. ag tractor sales decreased 19.4% compared to 2023, while combine sales dropped 19.6% In his podcast appearance with host and American Farmland Owner editor Dave Price, Blades, used a weather analogy to describe the situation. “There are storm clouds that we're dealing with…some very real storm clouds.”

And, as Blades noted earlier this month when AEM released its monthly sales data, the recent decline in the overall tractor market highlights the urgent need for a robust farm bill to support rural America and our agricultural community.
