AEM’s Kate Huskin has been named Vice President, Communications and Public Relations.
Huskin, who previously held the title of Senior Director of Communications at AEM, will be responsible for the strategic direction of both internal and external communications for the association, including overseeing public relations and member company communications.
“I am very pleased to announce Kate Huskin’s promotion to Vice President, Communications and Public Relations,” said AEM Senior Vice President Kip Eideberg. “Kate has led the charge in telling our industry’s story, communicating the association’s leadership on behalf of our member companies and building a positive perception of the equipment manufacturing industry and the customers it serves. Her expertise, energy, and knowledge will ensure that the association is well positioned for continued success.”
In her new role, Huskin will work closely with the AEM’s Exhibitions & Marketing Team and Member Engagement Success Team to build upon efforts to drive brand awareness for association-owned trade shows. In addition, she will provide communications counsel to AEM’s Senior Leadership Team and service areas, as well as lead crisis communications efforts. Huskin will also collaborate with the Human Resources and Administrative Teams at AEM to drive greater employee engagement and support our culture.
“Communication is at the heart of everything we do at AEM to support our industry and our member companies,” said Huskin. “We will continue to tell our industry’s story, build awareness of the association, and attract stakeholders to our events and trade shows. And at the same time, we’re working to build an internal culture that inspires innovation and creativity.”
Huskin joined AEM in 2015 and has held various positions with increasing responsibility within the organization over the last eight years. She previously held strategic communications roles at ManPowerGroup and Janet Diedrichs & Associates.
