Construction equipment fleet owners looking to find the genuine parts they need will soon have a solution for equipment downtime and reduced jobsite productivity.
Constructionpartsnow.com was previewed at the AEM booth at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 and received enthusiastic reviews from construction contractors and fleet owners. ConstructionPartsNow.com is expected to launch later this year and will serve as the official parts marketplace of the construction equipment industry.
In September of 2022, AEM announced its partnership with SmartEquip, an AEM member company and leading technology platform provider for the equipment industry, to develop an e-marketplace for the sale and purchase of genuine construction equipment parts.
“Our research told us that purchasing genuine OEM parts for mixed fleets was a challenge for equipment owners. And we know AEM had the ability to bring our OEM members together to provide owners of mixed fleets with a single, common source for parts to keep equipment running on the jobsite,” said AEM President Megan Tanel. “At the same time, we know our members want to capture lost parts sales, and once it is launched, ConstructionPartsNow.com will be win-win for the industry.”
AEM and SmartEquip are currently working with OEMs to bring them on board and get the site ready to launch later in 2023. Participating OEMs have the option to work through their dealer distribution networks to fulfill parts orders that are generated by the site.
“We are excited about participating in AEM’s parts marketplace to help contractors order our compaction and paving parts online easily and quickly. We anticipate an integration between the marketplace and our dealer network will significantly improve parts availability and reduce equipment downtime,” said Dynapac President & General Manager Jamie Roush. “At the same time, we’re looking forward to growing our parts sales business through ConstructionPartsNow.com.”
Site Features and Benefits
ConstructionPartsNow.com will be mobile friendly and will feature the ability to order genuine OEM parts directly from the cab or jobsite. By including online equipment manuals, users of the site will quickly be able to identify exact parts and place orders directly, 24/7.
What Contractors are Saying
When shown the demo site of ConstructionPartsNow.com at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, the site was well received with enthusiasm by show attendees, especially those with multiple-branded fleets who don’t currently have the ability to order the genuine OEM parts they need all in one place. Some of their comments include:
- “By having the equipment manuals on the site, I will be able to identify the exact part I need and order it more quickly than I can now.”
- “If it’s this easy I’ll buy OEM parts rather than aftermarket parts.”
- “This site will save me time and help me get my equipment up and running.”
- “Most everyone today has a mixed fleet, and this site will be very convenient for me.”
