Sara Truesdale MooneyAEM’s Sara Truesdale Mooney has been named to the Wisconsin Society of Association Executive’s (WSAE’s) Board of Directors.

Truesdale Mooney was installed at WSAE’s Dec. 1 Business Meeting, held in conjunction with the organization’s 2022 Summit. Mooney will serve a three-year term, effective Dec. 1 and extending through November of 2025.

“I am honored to be joining WSAE’s Board of Directors and continuing to support the organization as it works to fulfill its mission of creating meaningful connections and enhancing competencies for association professionals throughout Wisconsin,” said Truesdale Mooney, a senior vice president at AEM with responsibility for association membership, sales, marketing, market share statistics, business intelligence and IT.

Mooney also serves as Chair of WSAE’s Editorial Council, which advises WSAE staff on content for its flagship publication, Vantage Point. Earlier this year, and on behalf of WSAE, Mooney established a limited term task force of association communications professionals to recommend a member communications strategy to WSAE. The task force, which included AEM Director of Industry Communications Mike Schmidt, ultimately developed a comprehensive, robust communications plan to help WSAE ensure the deliverability of timely, relevant and impactful information to its members.

The Wisconsin Society of Association Executives (WSAE) is a 501c(6) membership organization of more than 500 association executives and industry partners representing professionals in Wisconsin. Its mission is to create meaningful connections and enhance the competencies of association professionals. In 2022, the organization celebrated its 75th anniversary.
