OLIVE BRANCH, MISS. – The Association of Equipment Manufacturers' (AEM) national grassroots campaign I Make America and KRONE North America welcomed Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves on October 26 to KRONE’s Olive Branch facility. I Make America works throughout the year to host elected officials and other policymakers at AEM member company facilities across the United States to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the equipment manufacturing industry and engage with the men and women of the industry.

Governor Reeves joined KRONE North America to celebrate the equipment manufacturer’s 50th anniversary. The company, founded in Spelle, Germany in 1906, began its operations in North America in 1973. KRONE’s North American headquarters moved to its current location in Olive Branch in 2020.

“It’s my pleasure to congratulate Krone North America on 50 successful years. On behalf of our entire state and the 3 million people who live here, thank you for believing and investing in this community,” said Governor Reeves. “Olive Branch and Mississippi are blessed to have you here.”

KRONE is a global manufacturer of hay and forage equipment. Their product lineup includes core haying equipment like mowers, tedders, rakes, and round balers, as well as their flagship commercial pieces such as the BiG Pack square baler, the BiG M self-propelled mower conditioner, and the BiG X self-propelled forage harvester, including the BiG X 1180, which is the world’s largest forage harvester.

“KRONE North America is honored to have Governor Tate Reeves celebrate our 50th anniversary with us. As a manufacturer of state-of-the-art hay and forage equipment, Mississippi’s friendly business environment is a logical home for our North American operations,” said Dietz Lankhorst, CEO of KRONE North America. “We look forward to continue working with him to be a part of Mississippi’s economic growth and prosperity.”

“Equipment manufacturers support more than 24,000 jobs in the Magnolia State, and our industry’s continued growth in the state is a testament to the policies that Governor Reeves has championed. During his more than two decades of public service, he has worked to build Mississippi’s next generation of skilled workers and strengthen the state’s economy,” said Megan Tanel, president, Association of Equipment Manufacturers. “AEM congratulates KRONE North America on this milestone occasion, and we are excited to continue our partnership with KRONE North America to ensure the long-term growth and success of the equipment manufacturing industry in Mississippi.”
