It is with deep regret that AEM notes the passing of industry leader Richard Christman, who played a foundational role in the formation of Case New Holland.

Christman got his start with Case Corporation (now Case New Holland Industrial) in a two-year graduate training program. He went on to spend 30 years with the company and held many management positions with Case over the years, including retail enterprises, parts operations, sales and marketing, strategy and business development, supply chain, and general management in both North America and Europe.

Christman served on the board of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (formerly Equipment Manufacturers Institute/EMI) in the late 1990s to early 2000s, where he served as Vice-Chairman of Agriculture and then as Chairman. He was proud to lead and work alongside others from the agriculture equipment sector.

"Rich will always be remembered for his involvement with and support of AEM, his contributions to the equipment manufacturing industry as a whole and his contributions to Case New Holland," said AEM President Megan Tanel. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”

Christman is remembered as a strong leader in his position as Chair of the AEM board, and his continued support long after he served in his role.

A remembrance of Christman can be viewed here.
