Canadian sales of farm tractors saw a significant jump of 16 percent in December, compared to one year ago, according to numbers released this week by AEM.
Sales of 4WD tractors were up more than 50 percent, while self-propelled combine sales rose by about 13 percent.
Meanwhile, U.S. retail sales of large 4WD tractors jumped more than 18 percent in December, though sales of other tractors and self-propelled combines saw little change, when compared to 2016.
Sales of tractors over 100HP dropped roughly 7 percent, while sales of tractors under 40HP were down almost 5 percent. Combine sales were down about 3 percent.
