Join a panel of industry leaders for an engaging discussion on sustainable practices within equipment manufacturing as the association kicks of its 2023 series of free member education webinars next month.

The inaugural webinar of this year, entitled “Strides in Sustainability – A Panel of Your Peers,” is set for Thursday, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. CST, and features expert perspectives from AEM members representing Deere and Co., Caterpillar and Cummins.

Register now.

Deere and Co. Sustainability Program Manager Kim Noe, Caterpillar Sustainable Development Manager Kirsten Mauritzson and Cummins Director of Global Environmental Sustainability Technical & Environmental Systems Karen Cecil will weigh in on:

  • What sustainability means to them
  • The steps they are taking to tackle environmental goals, initiatives and regulations

The webinar will also highlight the tools and resources available from AEM’s Sustainability Council and the association and its members can move the needle on these priorities.

As part of AEM’s 125-plus-year commitment to advancing societal and safety issues on behalf of the industry, the association established a Sustainability Council in 2020. The Sustainability Council is comprised of sustainability leaders from AEM member companies, and together they work to provide a framework for the adoption of best practices and innovation to support the equipment manufacturing industry. AEM’s Sustainability Council has identified seven of the 17 United Nation’s Sustainability Development Goals to be priorities for the association and its member companies.

In addition, AEM last year unveiled its equipment manufacturing industry Sustainability Toolkit that provides assessments and resources to help manufacturers and their supply chains minimize operational impact on the environment. The purpose of the toolkit is to advance the equipment manufacturing industry’s efforts to align with evolving regulation and support a more sustainable world.

Available now, the AEM Sustainability Toolkit can be accessed by visiting https://www.aem.org/sustainability-toolkit.
