In an official statement issued on May 29, Messe Muenchen do Brasil and Messe München GmbH together with the Brazilian Association of Technology for Construction and Mining (Sobratema) announced that the International Construction and Mining Equipment Trade Fair, M&T Expo 2018, scheduled for June 5-8 in São Paulo, will be postponed.

The owners and organizer came to this decision with the support of the majority of exhibiting machinery manufacturers due to the serious situation and national crisis caused by the truck drivers’ strike in Brazil, which is blocking the country’s main highways. New dates for M&T Expo will be announced soon.

AEM had planned to participate in M&T Expo 2018 to promote both CONEXPO Latin America 2019 and CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 in the Brazilian market. In addition, AEM planned meetings with its regional industry member groups, the CE Regional Management Committee – Latin America and the CE Statistics Committee – Latin America, in conjunction with M&T Expo. All activities will be rescheduled and held at a later point in time.
