FFAAEM was recognized last week for 50 years of support of the National FFA Organization at the organization’s national convention held in Indianapolis.

AEM is also pleased to announce it is joining the Sponsors Board of FFA, and the association served as a sponsor of the FFA Blue Room at last week’s convention. The FFA Blue Room served as an forum for young students in attendance to learn about the careers of the future, equip chapters with new resources, and inspire the ag industry to find innovative solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.

“The future of agriculture depends on all of us, and AEM is committed to inspiring the workforce of tomorrow and educating young people about the value of a career in ag,” said AEM Senior Vice President of Ag Services Curt Blades.

Last week’s National FFA Convention also marked five decades since women gained full, national membership in FFA.

In 1969, women were officially allowed membership into the National FFA Organization. In the 50 years since the formal acceptance of female membership, women have become an integral part of the organization. Women have achieved significant milestones, and they continue to shape the future of ag education and the industry of agriculture.

FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success. Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.
