AEM and CONEXPO-CON/AGG are proud to announce their sponsorship of an upcoming POLITICO Live event, “Manufacturing in America: Navigating the Administration’s New Roadmap,” taking place on Wednesday, May 14 at 8:30 a.m. ET at the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

The event will kick off AEM’s bi-annual Celebration of Construction on the National Mall and bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to examine the policies, trends, and innovations shaping the future of American manufacturing. Featured speakers will include AEM Board of Directors Vice Chair and Caterpillar Senior Vice President Philip Kelliher, along with Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.). Additional speakers are expected to be announced in the days ahead, and the event will be livestreamed for virtual attendees.

“The equipment manufacturing industry is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, and we must ensure that public policy keeps pace,” said AEM President and CEO Megan Tanel. “As we continue the countdown to CONEXPO-CON/AGG in March 2026, this event will provide an important forum for discussing the economic, workforce, infrastructure, and innovation trends that will define the next generation of manufacturing leadership.”

“The future of our country depends on the strength of American manufacturing,” said AEM Senior Vice President of Government and Industry Relations Kip Eideberg. “We are excited to convene leading policymakers, business leaders, and scholars for a timely discussion about the policies needed to ensure that the future of manufacturing is in America.”

Celebration of Construction on the National Mall

Held the same week as the POLITICO Live event, AEM’s second Celebration of Construction on the National Mall promises to show the industry’s cutting-edge innovations, workforce development efforts, and sustainability initiatives. With a theme of “Building a Stronger America,” this year’s event is set for May 14-16, 2025.

The latest edition of the Celebration of Construction on the National Mall will:

  • Feature the latest in emissions technology, alternative power sources, building materials, construction methods creating greater efficiencies, worker safety enhancements, and workforce development programs. Facilitate an array of substantive policy discussions with agency officials who directly impact regulations critical to the off-road equipment industry.
  • Allow for discussions with policymakers who craft programs and legislation that affect construction equipment manufacturers and their customers.
  • Highlight construction equipment, components, and hands-on exhibits from industry partners between the Capitol Building and Washington Monument.
