Crafco World of AsphaltAEM caught up with Crafco’s  Alessandra Crawford before the World of Asphalt trade show, occurring from March 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee, to talk about what attendees and exhibitors will be excited to see and experience while at the show.

World of Asphalt is North America’s leading international exposition and education resource for the asphalt, pavement maintenance, and traffic safety industries. AEM, alongside the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is looking forward to welcoming back all asphalt industry professionals for three days of key networking, educational opportunities, and industry exploration.

AEM: Why do you feel that it is important to have a presence at the World of Asphalt show?

Crawford: We love that all the attendees are in one place where they can see the machinery, touch, and get a feel for the equipment, and talk to Crafco’s A-team of preservation experts. We know that the attendees are in the right place with the right industry experts; from our standpoint as exhibitors, we get to show off our products before the ‘typical season’ starts for the majority of these attendees. World of Asphalt, simply put, is the place to go for all asphalt industry professionals.

AEM: What value does the show bring to exhibitors?

Crawford: I think because all of us are in one place, we get to show off our latest and greatest products and talk amongst ourselves about industry needs and solutions. The attendees are all in one place, and AEM, NAPA, and all the folks involved with the show do a great job of bringing the right people to the exhibitors. I think that partnership brings huge value, really digging into our target audience and making sure that everything is tailored to bring the most value to both exhibitors and attendees. We love being members of both AEM and NAPA, and I am personally on the World of Asphalt show committee, which has given me great insight into the way the show is put together to maximize value.

AEM: What will Crafco be showcasing while in Nashville? And what are you most excited to share with other exhibitors or attendees?

Crawford: We are actually going to be unveiling a new piece of equipment on the show floor – we did a sneak peek of this equipment at a previous show, and we are now unveiling the product fully at World of Asphalt. We are excited to give it its full debut spotlight at this show. This is just one of the things we are most excited about; more generally, we are excited to show our other pieces of equipment, and we are also looking forward to attendees being able to see and feel these pieces. We have a more open booth concept because we really wanted attendees to be able to mill around and test out the equipment we will be displaying.

AEM: What do you think attendees will be or should be excited to see and experience at the show?

Crawford: This show has grown so much and so rapidly, and we’ve seen a huge increase in attendance. I think that attendees should look forward to a jam-packed show floor, with more exhibitors than ever, who will also provide more insights and information than ever, some of which they may not even know that they need. The fact that attendees will get to talk to industry experts and have that one-on-one face time with their equipment providers after years of social distancing will be really impactful. We as an industry are so interconnected, and this face-to-face time will bring a lot of value for both exhibitors and attendees alike.
