The Utility Expo took home four awards and placed #1 out of the top 100 trade shows at the recently held Trade Show Executive (TSE) Gold 100 Awards & Summit, which celebrated the biggest and best trade shows of 2021.

In addition to finishing in the top spot among Top 100 trade shows, The Utility Expo – held in September of 2021 – also received the following recognitions from TSE:

  • The largest trade show of 2021
  • The fastest-growing Gold 100 show in net square feet for 2021
  • Tied for the “Return to Normal” Award

“I’m so proud of our team at AEM, and it was truly great to see all the excitement and enthusiasm as the utility industry came together once again in Louisville last fall at The Utility Expo,” said AEM Senior Vice President of Exhibitions and Marketing Nicole Hallada. “The success of the show, along with this recognition, is a testament to AEM’s commitment to deliver best-in-class events and exhibitions, as well as continually adapt to provide value to our members and the industries they serve.”

The Utility Expo truly returned to Louisville in a big way last fall, as the 2021 installment was the largest in the show's history, with more than 900 companies spread across more than 1.4 million net square feet (32-plus acres) of the Kentucky Exhibition Center. More than 16,500 attendees made their way to the show, despite extraordinary circumstances surrounding in-person events in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, taking in specialized exhibits and product unveilings, participating in hands-on test drives and demonstrations, learning about the latest innovations in the industry, as well as making informed purchasing decisions.

“With a new outdoor layout featuring much more space for both overhead and underground utility equipment, there was so much for exhibitors to showcase and attendees to see and experience – live and in-person at the 2021 show,” said Utility Expo Show Director John Rozum. “Rest assured, though, our trade show team at AEM is working hard to make the next edition of the Utility Expo the biggest – and best – one yet.”

At the awards, The Utility Expo was also recognized as The “Greatest Trade Show of 2019.”

The Utility Expo is the largest event for utility professionals and construction contractors seeking comprehensive insights into the latest industry technologies, innovations and trends. The next installment of the biennial trade show, known for equipment test drives and interactive product demonstrations, will take place in Louisville, Kentucky, and is set for Sept. 26-28, 2023.

Registration opens in May 2023. To receive the latest updates and relevant information, visit TheUtilityExpo.com and sign up for show alerts.
