Equipment and people gather at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023By Dana Wuesthoff, Show Director, CONEXPO-CON/AGG  --

We’re less than 24 hours away from the event the construction industry has waited three long years for: CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026

Plans are in place. Preparations have been made. North America’s largest construction trade show opens tomorrow in Las Vegas, and I can’t help but express my excitement and appreciation for all the work that went into bringing this one-of-a-kind exhibition to life.

It’s no secret as to why CONEXPO-CON/AGG is such a widely anticipated industry event. Our talented and dedicated show team, AEM members, and show exhibitors have spent the last 36 months working to ensure the show is the place where major innovations and trends related to construction are announced and showcased.

I’m proud to say the result of all their efforts is a truly special edition of CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and one where present and future of construction will be on full display. Whether it’s details on the latest innovations and technology, the anticipated impact of artificial intelligence, the ever-evolving storylines associated with workforce development and sustainability, or timely and relevant information on a variety of other industry topics, the chances are great you will see, hear, and learn about it this week in Las Vegas

When I think about what CONEXPO-CON/AGG has become in recent years, and what it is today, the first thing to come to mind is the show’s massive size and scale. Two thousand exhibitors are here to promote cutting-edge products and services. Roughly 2.9 million square feet and 150 education sessions in and around the Las Vegas Convention Center are dedicated to the equipment, technology, and trends poised to take construction to the next level. Every vertical is represented here at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and each plays a unique and impactful role in telling the story of our industry.

Ultimately, I hope you come away from this edition of CONEXPO-CON/AGG with new ideas, access to valuable information and insights to grow your bottom line, as well as the belief that your week spent with us in Las Vegas was well worth your investment. It’s why we worked so hard to bring new show features and enhancements to CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. A few I’m most excited about are:

  • The EmpowerHER Workshop, which connects women across the construction industry through peer-led discussions, mentorship, and leadership development. Participants will explore how to apply best practices that expand their network, elevate visibility, and strengthen long-term career resilience.
  • The Small Business Workshopwhich is tailored to the unique needs of entrepreneurs, family-owned firms, and growing construction businesses. Small businesses are the pulse of the construction industry, and this workshop gives decision-makers a place to learn from one another and build relationships.
  • Shop Talks & Walks is a hands-on educational experience, focused on preventative maintenance, fleet efficiency, and real-world equipment solutions. This workshop focuses on building lasting efficiency and giving attendees the tools they need to keep their equipment running at peak performance.
  • Finally, I have to mention the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Ground Breakers Stage, a bold new spotlight on the companies and innovations redefining what’s next in construction. Throughout this week, the Ground Breakers Stage will serve as a high-energy forum where top leaders from leading brands Amazon Web ServicesAutodeskCaterpillar, and John Deere, along with celebrity and television host Mike Rowe, will unveil the ideas that will shape the jobsites of tomorrow.  And if you can't make it to Ground Breakers Stage this week, you can always livestream

So, with the show quite literally a day away, I’m thrilled to say CONEXPO-CON/AGG will once again offer a uniquely valuable opportunity for the industry to come together and celebrate not only where it is today, but where it’s headed in the future. Absolutely nothing can replace the experience of making lasting in-person connections, and there’s no better place for the construction industry to do just that than CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

Our industry has told us this is how and where it wants to meet, and that this show is the place where it goes to grow. Now, three years since we last gathered, we’re bound and determined to take our industry to the next level this week in Las Vegas.

See you tomorrow!
