The Utility Expo has been named to Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 list, recognizing it among the largest and most successful trade shows held in the United States.

AEM, The Utility Expo is the utility industry’s premier event for utility construction professionals, contractors, manufacturers, and service providers. The 2025 show held Oct. 7-9 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, set new records with more than 22,600 attendees from all 50 states and 59 countries, more than 1,000 exhibitors, and 1.5 million square feet of exhibit space.

“Being named to Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 list is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the strength of the utility construction industry,” said Brianne Somers, Show Director of The Utility Expo. “The continued growth of The Utility Expo shows how important it is for industry professionals to come together to see equipment in action, compare solutions, build relationships, and gain the knowledge they need to meet growing infrastructure demands.”

Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 recognizes the top trade shows held in the United States, with rankings based on net square feet of paid exhibit space. The honor underscores The Utility Expo’s continued role as a leading event for the utility infrastructure, construction and equipment sectors.

“In-person events remain one of the most powerful ways for industry professionals to make informed business decisions,” said Nicole Hallada, Senior Vice President Exhibitions and Marketing at AEM. “For an industry as hands-on and technical as utility construction, there is no substitute for seeing equipment operate, asking questions directly of manufacturers, comparing technologies side by side and participating in education that helps attendees solve real-world challenges. The Utility Expo brings all of that together in one place.”

The Utility Expo brings together professionals from across transmission and distribution of all sources, natural gas, telecommunications, drinking water, wastewater and stormwater to explore the latest equipment, technologies and best practices shaping the future of utility construction.

The next Utility Expo will take place Oct. 5-7, 2027, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
