AEM is thrilled to announce that two of its esteemed member companies, Ace Pump Corporation and Stellar Industries, have been honored with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s 2024 President’s “E” Award for Export Achievements. This prestigious recognition highlights the significant contributions both companies have made to expanding U.S. exports, supporting the national economy, and creating American jobs.

With roughly 30% of equipment manufactured in the United States destined for export, a robust trade market helps support many of the industry’s 2.3 million family-sustaining jobs, like the ones offered by Ace Pump and Stellar.

Ace Pump Corporation, based in Memphis, Tennessee, has been awarded the “E Star” Award for Exports, marking the third time the company has received an “E” Award and the second time it has been recognized with the “E Star.” This remarkable achievement underscores Ace Pump’s sustained commitment to export growth, with nearly 50% expansion in export markets since its first “E Star” Award in 2019. The company’s products, particularly centrifugal pumps for agricultural applications, are now sold in over 40 countries, with exports accounting for approximately 25% of its total revenue. The success of Ace Pump has played a crucial role in the company’s workforce growth and stability, demonstrating the positive impact of exporting on both the company and the broader U.S. economy.

“Each award is in recognition of consistent export growth in the previous four years,” said Andy Randle, CEO of Ace Pump Corporation.  “So, with this second E Star award, we are celebrating 14 years of continuing growth in exports. A quarter of our products are destined for export markets, supporting one fourth of our employees and their families.”

Stellar Industries, headquartered in Garner, Iowa, has also been recognized with the President’s “E” Award, marking a significant milestone in its history. As a 100%-employee-owned manufacturer of mechanic trucks, cranes, tire service trucks, and related accessories, Stellar has shown impressive export growth over the past four years. The company’s strategic use of trade shows and government-sponsored trade missions has been instrumental in its successful market expansion, further solidifying Stellar’s role as a key player in the global market. This award not only celebrates Stellar’s achievements but also highlights the dedication and hard work of its entire team in driving the company’s export success.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the significant footprint that Stellar has had on exports,” said Tim Davison, vice president of sales and marketing for Stellar Industries. “We are proud of the work we’ve accomplished over the last four years and have no intention of slowing down anytime soon.”

The recognition of Ace Pump Corporation and Stellar Industries by the U.S. Department of Commerce exemplifies the innovation, strategic vision, and commitment to excellence that are hallmarks of AEM members. Both companies have made substantial contributions to the national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy, and their success serves as a powerful testament to the strength of American manufacturing.

As a leading advocate for the manufacturing industry, AEM congratulates Ace Pump Corporation and Stellar Industries on their well-deserved recognition. AEM remains committed to providing the resources, support, and advocacy needed to help all its members achieve success in the global marketplace, continuing to promote and support U.S. exports, which play a vital role in sustaining economic growth and creating jobs across the nation.
