Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Requirements
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has promulgated reporting and recordkeeping requirements for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 8(a)(7). The Heavy Equipment Declarable Substances List (HEDSL) harmonizes and simplifies the industry’s data collection efforts. Adopting a single list of known chemicals of concern, with agreed upon threshold limits, and clearly communicated reasoning, will help educate the supply chains on the regulatory needs of their customers, as well as simplify the reporting requests to which they need to respond.
