AEM is proud to celebrate Kristen Prather, senior director of grassroots advocacy & AEMPAC, who has been named one of the Top 20 Advocacy Professionals of 2026 by The Advocacy Association.

Now in its sixth year, the Top 20 Advocacy Awards recognize association, nonprofit, and corporate advocacy professionals who are advancing the profession through their leadership, creativity, and commitment to driving meaningful change. The program honors individuals working across grassroots advocacy, government relations, public affairs, lobbying, digital advocacy, and policy development.

The annual recognition highlights professionals who are building coalitions, influencing policy, engaging stakeholders, and helping shape a stronger future for the organizations and industries they represent.

“I’m honored to be recognized among this year’s Top 20 Advocacy Professionals,” said Prather. “Advancing effective advocacy requires collaboration, persistence, and a commitment to building relationships that drive meaningful results. I’m proud to work alongside so many dedicated professionals who are helping shape a stronger future for the industries and communities that we serve.”

This year marks the sixth anniversary of the awards program, which has honored more than 100 advocacy professionals since its inception. The recognition reflects the growing impact of advocacy leaders who work to advance public policy, strengthen industry voices, and drive positive outcomes for their organizations and communities.

Prather joined AEM in 2025 and is a passionate grassroots advocacy professional with over 20 years of experience. She currently manages AEM’s grassroots advocacy program, I Make America.
