AEM members have an important opportunity to help shape the future of equipment manufacturing safety, compliance, technology and product leadership by participating in AEM’s Safety & Product Leadership groups.

From Oct. 6-8, 2026, AEM will host Safety & Product Leadership Council Week at its Milwaukee headquarters, bringing together technical committees, councils, and subcommittees for a series of in-person meetings focused on industry priorities, member collaboration, and shared problem solving.

“By bringing together all of AEM’s Safety & Product Leadership groups, we hope to not only encourage new members to participate but also encourage cross pollination on ideas and work items across groups,” said AEM Senior Director of Safety & Product Leadership Jason Malcore.

Members who are able to attend are encouraged to come to Council Week, connect with peers and AEM staff, and take part in the conversations that help guide the association’s work on behalf of the industry.

Why Participation Matters

AEM’s Safety & Product Leadership groups provide members with a direct way to stay informed, share expertise and contribute to industry-wide efforts related to equipment safety, product compliance, innovation and technical standards. These groups include the Construction Equipment Council, Agriculture Equipment Council, Substance Compliance Council, Technology Innovation Council, Engine Emissions Technical Council and several related subcommittees.

By bringing these groups together throughout one week, AEM aims to make participation more accessible, reduce travel demands for members, and create more opportunities for collaboration across councils and committees. The format also gives members a broader view of the work happening across the Safety & Product Leadership portfolio.

Attending Council Week in Milwaukee

All AEM members are invited to participate in Council Week. Members may attend the full event, join for a single day, or take part in individual meetings based on their interests and availability. In-person registration is free, and members who plan to attend in Milwaukee should register in advance to help AEM staff plan meeting space, networking opportunities, and food needs. Members who plan to participate virtually do not need to register.

In-person attendees are encouraged to complete the registration form as soon as possible. The registration deadline is Sept. 4, 2026. Members should visit the registration site for travel logistics, agendas and contact details.
